Decision Theology

Decision Theology
Charles Finney the Father of this philosophy wove a tapestry using old woven thread a repackaged as new/used, believing in his heart that man by nature is good
No one could by any stretch of the measure do harm, he was able to by studying the scripture to pass the bar could find salvation, using these words “I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior”. I said these words myself gone thru the joseph Arminius ecclesia doctrine of free will defined as humanity has the potential to do either good or bad. When God gave a covenant with Adam thou shall eat of the fruit between good and evil. A curse was also there

(God Covenant with Adam and State of right standing with selfsame Lord) Gen. 2:16, 17; 3:6; (Adam broke the covenant with God which brought spiritual death along with it) Rom. 5:6; 8:7; John 15:5; Rom. 3:10, 12; Eph. 2:1, 5; Col. 2:13; John 6: 44, 65; 1 Corn. 2:14; Eph. 2:2-5; Titus 3:3-5;

 Genesis 2: 17 part b say’s the day you eat from the fruit death waits. No ifs or I’ll excuse you this one time, you will surely die! So it is not possible for us be good or by our own merit do good absolute no possibility in Japanese Zen Zen arimasen. If it were possible than Christ death was in vain, need to look elsewhere for our faith. Christianity still exists for a reason human are corrupt but the cornerstone of our faith is not, so as much damage one thinks can destroy the temple God designed no remote way, every conceivable plan he already knows about and knows this as well, Holy Trinity already won by no machinations on our parts.
3 reasons why Decision Theology can turn us away from God
1.       By our works alone, by making the decision we are saying that man can save man.
2.       With or without realizing it we become morally perfect, so imperfection on someone else part they become ostracized.
3.       Because the world is corrupt, misinterpretation of Matthew twenty-eight as ministerial only, Roman Catholic Church did that also which led how many Christians to be burned to death minimum 10,000 over thousand year period.   Cultural mandate- Gen. 1:28; 9:1; 1 chronicles 12:32; Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:14-18; Acts 1:4-8 required to engage the world not being monastic. They learned the hard way that engaging society is allowing free exchange of ideas, the Sadducees and Pharisees complained the Christ was doing it as well his response was only the sick need a doctor Matthew 11:19; Luke 7:34 but at the same time with a false Gospel 2 kings 1:1-6 as an example.     Interpretation (lack of Neutrality) matt 4:1-11; Mark 1:12-13 of course the world is corrupt, living in a monastery is not a solution either.
Conclusion the only way to live is by Revelation of God via the Scriptures that is not possible by superstition but by using the Puritan Reform Confession and Catechism.
