Do you have to be progressive in order to be a liberal?

I have a Disqus account.
I tried to look up the conversation and only parts of it are found there but not the specific discussion I'm mentioning. Why bring it up? This is person called me an atheist my response was I'm a Christian Humanist. If you look up the term it suggests that I would be a progressive. As a reformer that would insult the very foundation of my faith which has a theological tone to it. Modern Liberal are progressives. Their foundation has a natural philosophical tone to it. I support freedom of Religion and the right to evangelize at the same time. My Goal is to study theology not to become a pastor but to be a better Christian if the LORD permits. Classical Liberals are not libertarians because that leads to human autonomy. This aforementioned by product leads to the destruction of society as seen today. Liberty and freedom has only one true source that is the Holy and undivided Trinity alone. God permits a people to speak multiple languages Genesis 10. The tyrant seeks to control its populace with only one language Genesis 11. In conclusion I'm a liberal of the humanist persuasion under the TH mindset.
