Apostle John took a pagan term like Logos (word) and apply it to the Lord Jesus Christ. To take from the unbelieving world and turn it into something beautiful is what Christianizing means. El in Canaanite means god. We stole it and turned into another name for GOD. Stealing in this form is wholesome and good.
