The post modern Conservatives were never socially active.

Ideology post modern Conservative movement goes like this:

They are pro life
Pro Second Amendment
Anti Socialist
Pro Military 
Pro Family and 
Lower Taxes

As far as drug overdoses it is true because of the study by CDC between 1999-2017 says so.
