Minister 37's lore part 2 a brief history on religious uniforms.
By Gman4326
During the old empire days leader's wore less ornate clothes. The office they held was elected
position without pay. Many artesian followers did their best to promulgate the gospel.
Other's by helping the widow and the orphan among their ranks. The old empire began to implode a
new group of men simplified their outfits. They would wear a habit and cowl as their uniform.
As the city state began rise. Many cities were places of learning. These cities were headed by
elected religious leaders. At this time it was laughable to think that planet italy would want
to control the people's minds by appointment and standardization. With space routes mapped and protected.
It took less time to travel from one planet to the next. The old ways of allowing local sovereignty
to trump uniformity seem less important. Head of the Church in Italy would often threaten excommunication.
To keep civil leaders from standing against them. Standardization began to take shape.
Hierarchy began to eliminate the need for the elected position. Two types of uniforms were issued.
Type A was worn on official calls. Type B was worn informal settings. With planetary governments began
reassert themselves. Italy would first call the leaders to repentance, secondly excommunication and
finally invasion. The third option was never implemented because the Church didn't have resources
to make this happen. Planet England ended the wearing Type A and B uniforms in order to give seamstress
a well earning job.
