Aramaic Writings

By Gman4326

Like any translation there are hidden gems if one looks for them. Hebrew Old Testament is no different. "Laban called it Jegar Sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed".
Is one of many things written in Aramaic. Prophet Jeremiah, Daniel and even Ezra were fluent in both Hebrew and Aramaic. Another passage is found Jeremiah 10:11. Daniel living in Babylon wrote Daniel 2:4-7:28 in this language. Ezra the priest wrote 4:8-6:18; 7:12-26 in it as well. This language is living testament of how the old church writings were created over a period of time; and how it does not neatly fit a singular narrative.
